Bio
Talia Lieber is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Art History at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she specializes in the arts of the African continent with an emphasis on Rwanda and the surrounding Great Lakes Region of central and eastern Africa. Her dissertation centers around twentieth-century collections of art in Rwanda. She has assisted with African art exhibitions, including at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African Art in Washington, D.C. and the Baltimore Museum of Art in Baltimore, Maryland.
